Learn more about homes for sale in Seneca SC

Seneca is a town of a little more than 8,000 on the southern end of Lake Keowee. You can find most of us on (or in!) the lake during warmer weather and heading over to Clemson University when football season rolls around.

If you’re checking out the area for the first time, you’ll want to head to downtown Seneca to Ram Cat Alley and check out the local shops and restaurants. Locally-owned speciality shops, cozy restaurants and the local radio station all call this street home.  Should you happen to stop by on a Thursday night between April and October, you’ll find live music and dancin’ in the streets as Jazz on the Alley takes over! Dine al fresco and enjoy the sounds of Seneca.

Nature lovers can head to South Cove Park if they want to stay in town, but the surrounding county offers a smattering of hiking trails, waterfall routes, rivers to fish and breathtaking mountain views.

The city hosts several events throughout the year, ranging from a Fourth of July celebration to SenecaFest in May, a monthly cruise-in featuring glamorous vintage cars, mud runs to test your physical and mental endurance and several 5Ks and a marathon.

Art lovers can check out the Blue Ridge Arts Center, located in a beautiful former, historic church, and check out the exhibits or catch a class or two. Arts off the Alley is just off Ram Cat Alley and features local art, pottery and other handmade goods from local artists. If theatre is your passion, head on over to the Oconee Community Theatre to catch a show.
