Lake Keowee Real Estate

The 17,600-acre reservoir that is Lake Keowee was created by Duke Energy in 1971 and has been a source of energy and enjoyment for the Upstate ever since. Some lakefront homes boast views of the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains and others offer safe swimming areas in quiet coves. With several access points, including places to camp at South Cove and High Falls parks as well as Keowee-Toxaway State Park.

For those who don’t want to spend the day tubing and skiing and want a quieter day, Lake Keowee is also known for bass fishing as it hosts a few FLW tournaments throughout the year. If you’re not a pro, no need to worries! The Keowee Anglers Club is happy to help. There’s also the Keowee Sailing Club for recreational and racing enthusiasts alike. We love driving across the Hwy 130 bridge and seeing all the colorful sailboats out on the water!

If you get a little hungry out on the water, feel free to head over to Keowee Marina and grab a bite to eat at the Tiki Hut lakeside grill or the Lighthouse restaurant. If you’re more of a planner, there are plenty of restaurants on the way to the lake to stop and grab a bite to eat, whether you want some barbecue, Mexican fare or anything in between.
